Hello! My name is Anton. 

I studied at UCT's Michaelis School of Fine Arts and graduated with honours, then went on to work as a yacht chef in order to save up the money to start this business. This combination of experiences informs my work and allows me to design and hand make kitchen tools that not only look beautiful, but function exceptionally well. Ultimately, I want people to love using these tools, to cook more, and share the experience with their loved ones. In an age of alienation and increasing isolation I see Studio Birkenmayer as my little contribution to bringing people together.
